Mark the viewing side, hinge and operator on the elevation. Dividing total width by two does not determine sash sizes. Double glazing means two glass panes; double casement means two operating sashes.

The surrounding space helps determine which operation and glazing choices will work in daily use.

Above a counter

Check operator height, reach past the counter and screen access. A crank helps only when its handle remains accessible.

Near paths, balconies or shutters

Check the full exterior sweep and neighbouring openings. An inward route needs clear space indoors instead.

Bathroom or shower side

Balance privacy, daylight and ventilation. Select safety glazing for the installation location and local requirements; privacy glass alone does not define safety suitability.

It can be a size label for either request. State your measurement basis; the approved drawing defines the finished frame and installation gaps.
Send a one-opening record or sampling request. Single-window acceptance, minimum billed area and sample format are separate quotation items for the selected configuration.
Show the movement, viewing side, hinge and operator on an elevation. Use the same view on the approved drawing and order.
Size alone cannot determine this. Check normal-operation net width, height and area, hardware/restrictors, installation height, building use and local requirements.
Consider privacy, daylight, ventilation and safety glazing for the location. Privacy glazing does not automatically meet safety-glass requirements.
Use the itemised quotation to define inclusion. Separate window accessories from anchors, flashing, sealants and work provided by the installation team.
